Being Sure You're Doing the Right Thing
You can’t be sure, so scratch that off your list of things to worry about. However, you can list goals and consequences of each transition for you and all affected parties that will allow you to make the best decision possible with the information available at the time. If it turns out to be the wrong decision, rejoice in what you’ve learned. Cherish how valuable the lesson is and the fact that you don’t have to be curious about that particular choice again. Be kind toward yourself in decision-making. If you’re grieving a mistake or even a potential mistake, meditate on a quote from Maya Angelou: “I did what I knew how to do at the time; when I knew better, I did better.”
