Some important things to keep in mind as you work to build your community: identify the assets in your community, inspire action, create partnerships between and among youth and adults, make community dreams a reality, create changes in communities that can be sustained and supported.

Also be mindful that through collaboration you will produce something that you can not produce on your own. Recognize that collaboration comes out of differences.

Agree to disagree and know that you cannot achieve innovation and creativity on things you already agree upon. Breakthroughs come from wrestling with dynamic tensions.
